Our 600-hour, year-long Massage Therapy program offers open enrollment, so that you may begin whenever space is available, and work at an individual pace. Classes meet evenings and weekends, so that you may work around your LIFE ALREADY IN PROGRESS!

Classes meet 6-9 pm during the week, and weekends meet on Friday evening 6-9 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10-5 pm. Student Clinic hours are on Saturday afternoons till 6 pm, 1-2 times per month.

During the year, special events offer you the alternative of getting hours outside the regular schedule. Some weekends have time off and others you may decide to double up.  You may even be able to get done early!

For TRANSFER STUDENTS, we offer individualized programming. If you are a massage therapist who has practiced in another state, we will give you direction or classes to complete Missouri requirements. If you have a science background from another career, you may already be halfway there!

PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

Our graduates are in high demand, and many have employment opportunities waiting for them before graduation. Nearby surrounding communities have even more opportunities for massage therapists.

Career directions are infinitely variable. Besides working in gyms, spas, chiropractic clinics, and wellness centers, many hospitals now provide massage to the patients. Private & group practices are popular options. Many corporations have on-site massage as a benefit to their employees. Cruise ships, destination resorts, and major national/international spas are experiencing a labor crunch as they attempt to staff their services.

SportsMassage has gained increased attention since the 2008 Olympics. The educational institutions in Mid-Missouri and beyond are rapidly expanding services in their athletic departments, and professional teams/individuals have employed massage therapists for many years.

Combine skills from another profession such as nursing & midwifery, physical & occupational therapy, exercise science, and personal training to create your own specialty and find the fulfillment you crave.

Teaching, text-writing & research are becoming popular with more experienced massage therapists. Local schools & universities need you to teach or develop online education, while many continuing education series providers offer the chance to travel while teaching. Volunteer, or run for office in a state/national professioanl organization. Serving on state & national accreditation/certification boards is another way to further your career in massage.
