Fact:

We create our Demand for Massage Therapists as we create our Supply!

The more therapists we can get out in the field doing charitable outreach, the more jobs we create.

Massage Therapy is a Licensed Health Care Occupation!

The practice of massage therapy in the state of Missouri for fee or for free is regulated, and is RESTRICTED to Missouri State Licensed practitioners.  For more information, see Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage, listed below.

Stringent codes of conduct and ethics are to be upheld by anyone practicing massage in this state, and 41 others.

LICENSING EXAM BOARDS

The Massage Boards Licensing Exam, or MBLEX, does not require school approval.  It is administered through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards.  There are no continuing education or renewal requirements, and your test results are guaranteed to be forwarded to the state licensing board of your choice within 24 hours of your passage. If you are interested in taking this exam for your licensing requirements, please download an application at their website, www.fsmtb.org

The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, or NCBTMB, is an option as a licensing exam or later certification.  Eligibility and test results may take up to 3 months. They require ongoing Continuing Education at a rate double to Missouri's, and only from "Approved Providers".  Renewal fees are assessed every 4 years for the duration of your certification.  See www.ncbtmb.com
